Tue 17 Apr - TAEDIUM VITAE RELEASE / FAREWELL SHOW ANNOUNCED!
Lindsay celebrates the release of his sophomore record and bids farewell to his native shores with his final Australian performance for the foreseeable future. It all happens at The Toff In Town, Melbourne, on Wednesday 16th May.
Special guests are Roller One and Pinto who will kick off proceedings at 8PM sharp. Entry $10.
Mon 02 Apr - Release day....TAEDIUM VITAE is live. Listen and purchase vinyl or download from the online store. You'll also find records in Melbourne at Thornbury Records and Polyester stores. Digitally through iTunes, Spotify and many more.
Wed 14 Mar - TAEDIUM VITAE - Official release date is Monday 2nd April. Following a labour of almost 4 years, Lindsay's second full length effort will finally see the light of day. And so, how to mark the event? Details as follows...
*Spin the vinyl at Longplay (318 St. Georges Rd, Fitzroy Nth) on Sunday 1st April in the cinema at rear of the venue.
*8PM start, vinyl plays at 9PM sharp. Please note that there will be no live performance.
*TAEDIUM VITAE is a vinyl/download-only affair. Copies will be available on the night, your choice of VERY limited white vinyl (50 only) or black. There may a couple of giveaways(??)
*The bar has a fine selection of wines, ales and spirits not to mention an exquisite eating menu.
Thur 1 Dec - The 2nd single from forthcoming album release TAEDIUM VITAE is a 'radio only' affair and is hitting the airwaves as of this week. Titled ONLY YOU (AND THE LORD), it is produced by Myles Mumford and features the formidable talents of Howard Cairns (double bass) and Seamus O'Sullivan (pedal steel). You can listen HERE. Enjoy.
Sat 19 Nov - Lindsay will play a show at The Toff In Town, Melbourne, on the 28th of this month. It's expected that this will be his final performance for 2011. Meanwhile, expect a 2nd single shortly to usher in the release of the long awaited TAEDIUM VITAE.
Mon 01 Aug - To coincide with the release of EXILE, Lindsay will play a series of shows in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane. Go to the shows page to check dates.
Tue 29 Mar - A little later than anticipated, nevertheless the lead single taken from TAEDIUM VITAE is to be titled EXILE...it'll be released late May as a free download on the Departed Sounds website coupled with an as yet undisclosed B-side (also from said record) and a short recorded interview as bonus track.
Onto a few noteworthy events slated for the month of April...Lindsay plays The Old Bar, Fitzroy, on Thursday 14th April w/Hope Addicts (last show before o/s tour), Tom Woodward (The Orphanage), and The Holy Sea. Catch him onstage at 8PM.
If you find yourself in Brunswick on Sunday 3rd April, you can catch him playing a super-rare 2 set performance at the Victoria Hotel (380 Victoria St) from 6-8PM.
Finally, all of Lindsay's dreams come true as he makes his debut disc jockey appearance playing records at the Marquis of Lorne, Fitzroy, on Friday 8th April from 9-1PM. Spinning anything from Wagner to Carter Family to Buddy Holly to New York Dolls to Napalm Death...no requests heeded and no hits played. That's entertainment!
Sat 05 Feb - Work continues on a forthcoming record release with producer Myles Mumford. In fact, we can now confirm that the first single will be released late April. In the meantime, Lindsay will perform his first show for the new year on Thursday 24th Feb at Longplay (ex-Glitch Bar) in Nth Fitzroy. It'll take place in the venues cinema auditorium. Good chums Roller One and Pinto also along for the ride.
Also, tune in to PBS FM that very morning at 8am. Lindsay will pop in for a chat and play some new material as part of the stations' live music week.
